The blind on our Omnivent has started sticking about half way when I try to close it. Has anyone had this problem and if so have you any suggestions as to how to sort it.

Hi HenryB
when you say its sticking do you mean its starting to lose its springiness? our blind went the same way i thought it needed replacing but i was able to re-tension it, its a bit hard to explain hows its done tho, might be better off taking the internal peice off the van and taking to a cartavan shop to get them to do it, unless you are in cornwall and near me

Hi John
I don't think my blind is loosing its tension. It just starts sticking about half way when trying to close it. I have tried silicon spray on sides but that does not help. You say you removed yours to retension. Dose the blind come away with the surround if you remove the trim?

yes i removed the 4 screws one at each corner and the interior trim drops with the blind in it, mine has both solid blind and a flynet blind, the flynet was the one that lost tension and found if we pushed it open the blind would just hang down, it sounds like the runners either side may have sonething stopping it, maybe try pushing a cotton bud in there with a bit of lubricant on it then work the blind open and closed a few times, mine works like a dream now i have retensioned it, my next step is try the retension the Heki Rooflight blinds although i am not looking forward to doing them
