Hi everyone

Sorry for my bad manners- I've already been asking for help and haven't yet introduced myself! I'm Sue & my husband is Frank. He has some experience of caravanning but as his last van had gas mantles, you can tell how recent that was... Like fran we bought our caravan off ebay- probably a foolish thing to do. We did inspect it before bidding but not as thoroughly as we should have! It's a 1994 Swift Rapide & we're just in the middle of giving it a new carpet & curtains. So far we haven't found anything major wrong with it- touch wood. We will be taking our 5-year-old grandson Joe with us, which is why we decided to go for an older van initially- didn't want to be worrying about the wear & tear on a new van (course the money mught have had something to do with it). We're really impressed with the forum- had a lot of help already.

Thanks

Sue & Frank

Welcome Sue & Frank. Lolly is our Head Welcomer & Door Monitor and I see she hasn't been doing her job properly while I've been away. You just cant get the right class of peasant these days.

Hi All

Thanks for the welcome! We are spending a couple of weeks cleaning and renovating the 1994 Swift Rapide we've just bought. I have to say that our next van will definitely be a brand-new one! We had a nasty moment today when we found something unidentifiable under the cassette toilet. Luckily it turned out to be a pair of perished rubber gloves...
