Outdoor Awning Light above Door

Our outside awning light above our door on our Swift Challenger 570 Lux 2010 has four bulbs out. Does anyone know if it is easy to replace the faulty bulbs or does the whole unit have to be replaced? If so, where would be purchase one? Thanks - Lisa and John.

You should be able to replace the bulbs by removing the cover. Howver before buying new bulbs look at the internals to make sure they are not badly corroded. To buy a new assembly just look at the type that you currently have and then search the internet outlets.

If your awning light is a LED strip, then a new strip can be obtained through your local Swift Dealer.(Should be under warranty)
However, the light is bonded to the van and is a pig to remove and even worse to replace, so would advise leaving it to your Dealer to replace.

I was told by Swift that a cheese cutter wire is required to remove the awning light to cut through the sealant

The end caps do come off and I'm told by my dealer that the LED strip slides out but requires the wires to be cut and that its bonded onto the side and that I wouldn't get it off !

Thanks all, we bought it from a local dealer but not a Swift Dealer! Will this make a difference as when we had a problem with our alarm before they were saying we'd have to take it to the nearest Swift Dealer in Gloucester? Thanks all - look forward to a reply soon!
