Oven Mite Not Be Work Rigth.

How do you check if the oven is work right has on the last time were in over caravan the cooker seemed to not be get very hot and it tuck some time to cook things in it.

Has I go to bring the caravan home to see if it is work right any help would be useful.

Mark, a very rough quick guide, and I emphasise, VERY ROUGH, is to light the oven and set it to the lowest heat setting, then when the flame dies down, as the temp is reached, increase the temp on the dial, and see if the flame gets bigger again.Do this in several stages, to test the range of the thermostat.

If the flame remains low, then it most probably is the thermosta which needs replacing.

This can be checked during an annual service. If you are in any doubt whatsoever about whether a gas appliance is working properly get it checked by a professional. It is not worth taking risks.
