Hi Robert.

Weve just had the van service and gas was aok. So no blockages there. But we noticed when we went away. Just though someone might know how we can get it out to clean.

Hi Smiley, we've had two caravans in recent years, and in both my wife has been frustrated by the comparatively poor heat in the oven - reckons it takes much longer to cook things than at home. Surely, it's just that the smaller appliances in the van, and reduced gas feed, are just no comparison to what we enjoy at home.

A gas oven is controlled by the thermostat - if it's working correctly it shouldn't make any difference whether it's a caravan or domestic oven.

Smiley - your oven needs checking by a competent engineer.

The first thing about gas appliances is DO NOT poke anything around the jet or burner.

They are critically set to deliver the right combustion mix of gas and air, and by enlarging any part of it, you may well be causing a very dangerous situation.

Get it checked for correct operation by a suitably competent engineer.

The service,as it is, simply sees that it is lighting properly, not its cooking ability.
