Hi Lee, There is loads of space to park but I would suggest you ring Brittany Ferries Plymouth to check if its ok to park overnight. We live nearby and personally can't see any reason not to be able "legally" if you like Others on this forum likely to confirm anyway?

Hi Lee

We have arrived at Plymouth in the early hours and parked in the checking in lanes and we need to do it again this year as we are on the 8am ferry. It might be an idea to park in the left hand lanes as last year some bright spark threw an empty can or bottle over the wall from above, luckily it didn't hit anything.

There was a large car park on the right as you approach the terminal but this seemed to be a meeting place for the local boy racers etc so I'd stick to the lanes.

Hi Lee

I don't want to sound too negative but we did what you are planning about 5 years ago at Portsmouth docks and never again....

a. we didn't really feel safe - depends how tough you are

b. it was noisy all night

c. somebody banged on our door at 5am and told us to "move down the line"

I have never sailed from Plymouth, but we always now find a nice cl within 20minutes of where we are sailing from and land there the night before.

I guess it's just a matter of opinion

Hi Lee

We have done the same as Julie and arrived in the checkin lanes in the early hours a number of times and found it no problem. We are doing the same this year for the 8 oclock ferry and also do the same at Roscoff for the return journey.

Have a good holiday!

Surely there is only the one ferry company running from Plymouth and unless you get there before the ferry before yours has sailed you have no problem being parked in a loading lane.

Well that's what I was told.
