Overhead Blind, Coachman 2013, 560 VIP

The front overhead blind in our caravan has deteriated on the silverved side, about the first 3 inches. I have tried painting it with nail varnish and Humbrol, paint , but nothing works, to block the little holes that let the light through .
Before I buy a new blind at about £100 , I wondered has anyone removered the blind and turned it around, and refitted it.
I will try and do it just wondering.

Is it a roller or pleated. I am wondering whether you could bond another skin, something akin to sticky backed plastic, you could probably get some silvered. Of course it would have to be a roller, take forever to do a pleated blind. If it works, can I have a Blue Peter Badge please?

Not sure if this would work
But
Rc Model Aircraft covering material, back in the day was called Solar film, Iron on plastic type material in many colours, havnt been around the hobby for over 20 years so not sure if its still a thing, but could do a very neat job, also there was a fabric based material that did the same.
Again not sure about its light blocking property's

I also have a neat cure for stiff pleated blinds, worked on our 2016 Coachman type.

Unclip the strings at the base of the blind which is to lift off the crimped metal that holds the 2 strings together from the hook thing.
Then thread a small tie wrap, preferably white or clear threw the strings then over the hook, in effect making the strings slightly longer which in turn makes the blind a doddle to use!
2 of mine have this repair,

Thanks for the replies, John, I will have to measure the blind first but that looks good, Thingy it is a roller blind and Fablon might work, Darren , I still have my Solar film , heat foot from moddeling days.
