Thanks Graham - but as far as I can see the Report which was "approved" simpply set out options for the Council. The District Council or County Council would need to make a specific order to change the existing arrangements, wouldn't they? Or have I missed an important clause in the Report?

End of an era then. Pity, it's become a bit of a tradition. Castle St chippy will lose out, for sure!
We'll book late night crossings in future, and sleep at Gravelines or somewhere, where we're welcome.

That's correct Tony, an order is required. As Johno point out in his post, that order is reasonably imminent. I phrased my post deliberately because the situation is fluid at the moment but (as I understand it) the pages linked to on Dover's web site will be kept up to date so will reflect the state current at any given date.

As regards "somewhere where we are welcome", we have to remember that not everyone sees the world as we see it and loves big white boxes. Sometimes it is a case of "somewhere where the behaviour of some of our fellows have not yet made us unwelcome" :)

Graham
