overnight stop near m6 staffordshire

looking for a site/CL near m6 in staffordshire, electric hook up and toilet essential, hard standing would be nice. Any suggestions

Sorry Julie but I live in Staffs and I can't think of anywhere near to the M6, there's one in Leek which is supposed to be nice but I've never stayed there, well you don't seem to on your door step do you, There's a camp site not far from us in the middle of Cannock chase which is probably about 15 mins from the M6 Junc 11 or 12 but all that's there is a very basic site, I don't think they even have hook ups

we stay at a place called pillaton hall - penkridge just off j12 m6

lovely site fishing pools and toilet block

fairly cheap -

really recomend it !!!

Toilet is the problem. If you use the van one i suggest cc high on- very near jnct 12. both clubs have sites at leek with toilets but a good drive from m6. both excellent sites. suggest you search on some of the following- stafford, shropshire newport, cheshire crewe/nantwich. all within easy drive of m6.

There's a CC CL in Newport which should not be too far off your route.

There's a Cl just off the M6 at J14 (Stafford North) - Park Farm, on the Weston Road (www.parkfarmstafford.com ).

Take the A513 (first exit - heading east) at J14 then;

Turn R off A518 (Stafford - Uttoxeter)

abt 300yds past Weston Road High School

immed before Stafford County Showground

site ent down private drive (foll B&B signs).

Site on R in

Try Yatehouse Farm, Byley, Middlewich Cheshire.You will have to travel further to Jct 18, but it's only about 3 miles off M6 reasonable too. tel 01606 833125.

Try Pat & John Symonds CL site @ Gailey near penkridge/stafford. The site is on the A5 @ Stretton & is about 3 miles from the M6. Alot of stopovers stay here & has electric hookups

There is a small site at Dunstone, about 2 miles off junction 13 M6, there is also a site in Penkridge which is about 6 miles from junction 13.I think both are grass though.
