Hi looking for a overnight stop near the ferry port in portsmouth in july whats the nearest thanks colin

Hi Colin

If you just want convenience there may be a part of the port itself which allows overnighters. We are sailing from Harwich in May and I phoned the port and was told there was overnight facilities available. Might be the same for Portsmouth.

Caravan Club Site at Rookesbury Park is a short distance away if you require facilities - otherwise pull onto the docks area and park over on the left hand side as we have done on many occasions. It is well lit although you are sometimes woken early by arrivals. You could always have a cabin on the ferry for showers etc the following morning if you wish.

We have stayed on the quay at Portsmouth a few times and we are doing the same in early March
