Hello

Please can anyone suggest a site suitable for an overnight stop just south of Nantes on the A83,travelling next Fri 22/7 en route to Royan.

Wayne, I have followed this route many times and wish I was going again this year, (thats a different story!). My wife and I never prebook a site for our overnight stops and basically leave the main road at around 5.30ish and travel to the nearest small town or village, we simply follow the signs to camping sites - we have never yet failed to find a site. Some have been superb, some basic but we just enjoy whatever we find. Hope that helps. Tony
 
There have been threads in the past about overnight stops in France. The general concensus of opinion appears to be that there was no need to prebook an overnight stop.
