Overnight Stop

Can anyone recommend a site for an overnight stop, travelling from Dunkerque Ferry Terminal, we arrive in France approx 5pm on a Saturday 24th July, we are travelling to the Vendee region, with 2 small children and would therefore like to be on a sucure site for an overnight stop, perhaps about 1 to 2 hours from Dunkerque, depending what time the site accepts arrivals until.

Any advise welcome, first time done this trip.

Thanks Lisa

Site in Amiens I recommend is Camping Parc des Cygnes,111 Rue de Montieres F-80080, email: camping.amiens@wanadoo.fr

Excellent site, near town, bus outside site, first class toliet block. Inspected this for Alan Rogers Camping Guides a few years ago.

thanks for that jacqueline, Amiens was my first option but was also thinking of Compeigne. Does anybody have a website for a site near here. Really need to pre book. Thought 2 hours from Dunkirk that leaves us approximately 3 hrs to Ambiose
