can anyone outthere tell me which is the best service station to stay overnight at around the bristol area,any info would be great.

Michael Wood services, before Bristol is ok for overnight stays as is Taunton Dean a little further down.

Both will require a fee if you intend parking up over the 2 hours free period. Usually around

Mark, I don't know if you want a motorway services as your first choice but there is a good site for night halt on junction 22 of the M5. It is called Edithmead Park and it is on the A38 on the west side of the motorway within 400m of the junction. Phone number is 01278 783475 and post code if you want to check it on multimap etc is TA94HE

Give the services a miss, overnight at the CC site at Burnham on Sea. Just off the motorway, great site, supermarket on road in/ out. Why put up with noisy smelly overcrowded and overpriced service areas, when, with a bit of forward planning, you can pitch up on a good caravan site. (or C.L.)

Hi we are off to cornwall in aug and would like to stop overnight, looked at burnham on sea, ideal place!!!!! as its only a one night stop though do not want an awning pitch but these are all booked up!!!! there are plenty with awning, would it be wrong to book one of these knowing i'm not going to use one ?????????
