Overnight without a caravan!

Just got back from a couple of weeks in the Sth of France. Blimey, what a cost hike - costs 30% up on last year! Anyway, we normally stay overnight in a Campanile on the way down (between Macon and Lyon) as our van is stored in the South. We are now looking to try and find a campsite which does B&B in the same area. Anyone got any ideas?

I would downgrade your brand of overnight hotel to something like Etap they are clean neat and tidy and give you what you want a bed and a shower. Invariably they are near a suitable eatery if you are not looking for Michelin stars

When you say costs are up 30% on last year, is that fuel, site fees, food?

Alex

Just about everything to be honest. It's a combination of the poor exchange rate and increasing food and fuel bills that equate to an overall increase....and I have to run my business on the notion of inflation being at 0%......
