Just back to caravanning after two years with motorhome ,last week bought Swift Charisma 535 and a porch awning called Oxygen something.Of course at home started to erect it when rain storm hit us. What with the rain and the pump not doing what it should was getting very frustrated. any way finally got it up only to find that when I removed pump the thing deflated, this happened several times until I pulled the valve outwards.Hope next time we do not have same problem. Any one got/had one?.

Hi there,

We have got the Speed 2 version and have yet to use it in anger but the demo we got shows that the special inflation valve has to be locked off for it to stay inflated. It went up and down very well in the demo and seemed structuarlly sound.

Will let you know how we get on in a couple of weeks.

Hi. I have an Oxygen Speed 3 which is great and I am very happy with it generally. Used it a few times now as I got sucked in at the show in Birmingham and bought it on a whim! I always manage to spend a fortune on things I did not want or need!
The valve has a auto deflate system so you push it in to deflate and this continues to let out air as you roll it to pack away. You must remember to push the valve when you are setting up. This releases the valve so it does not deflate when you remove the pump.
I would be interested to know if you suffer from bad condensation. I am just about to post a slight issue I have with it.
Happy caravanning!

Hi Southy,

We used ours for the first time for 8 days at Chatsworth Park last week and we didn't suffer from condensation.

On our Speed 2 there are four Air Vents at each top corner which are extended by using a rigid velcro strap. Has your model got these too?

Regards,

Martbo

Hi
Yes, there is one on each corner and I had them all open!
I had a Kampa Rally Pro 390 prior to the Spead 3 and never has a problem like this! A bit of condensation yes but not a Tropical rain storm in the morning!
Thanks for your response.

Maybe ours wasn't pegged out as expertly as yours - being first-timers and all!

We didn't bother putting our flooring down, so the flaps were probably letting a bit of airflow in.

I hope you find the answer.

Regards,

Martbo
