P&O Ferry Prices

Hi All

Did a price check on P&O web site last night. Dover to calais first 2 weeks in Aug Leave 5 am return 8 pm two weeks later car caravan & 4 people £108 inc fuel surcharge. Not bad i think. The loire vally, 10 months & counting.

Agreed. I paid 62 pounds outward and 82 pounds inward (could have got that for 62 pounds if I had booked a little earlier) this year, now it is 189 pounds each way. Who are they trying to kid, or don't they want caravanners anymore?

DFDS are worth a look Newcastle/Amsterdam, it was free for the van going mid week.

There's a deal, if you are quick. However, if you do some searching, especially for us northerners, there are some good deals to be had for the northern routes. What annoys me is that you have to plug in various dates, and even changing the day of the week, not just Friday, can make a heck of a difference. Why can't the operators just list the fares for each date, then you, as a customer, can make the choice more easily. I know, customers are merely there to provide profit.

Just checked Norfolk lines for next July, car and caravan just over

Just had a quick look at Eurotunel and they appear to be charging the same for next year, as this one. They were dearer, but now are in the same league as the ferries, and it is much quicker. Maybe worth another look, if you are considering Dover-Calais.

Re tunnel prices, if tou're willing to travell through the tunell from 10pm to 1 am out bound & from 10pm to 4am inbound (local times) you can get some really good deals.

This years return trip through the tunnel (September, car & van)
