I had the same problem but solved it by going onto e-bay and buying a bigger bag. Cannot remember name of company but have no problems packing awning now.

Ewan,

If you can get yourself an Isabella awning bag you will be amazed on how easy it is to pack away your awning, along with curtains and skirt all in one bag.

A bit pricey but well worth the money as you will be able to lay the bag beside the awning as you roll/fold it to get the correct size to fit the zipped along the lenght bag.

Best wishes,

Pop

Need to place it flat on the floor. Fold to the size of the awning bag and roll it up as tightly as you can, especially at the start.

Leave things like skirt and curtains out if necessary.

When we are on site I have noticed that many people seem to unzip all the front and side panels and fold them separately, is there a reason for this??, we always just unzip the front side of the side panels to assist folding but fold the awning as a single unit, curtains and all!!, it's not easy to get in the bag but it does.

We never have problems getting our awning to fit back into its original bag.

We take down and fold all the curtains (including the hanging poles if used). We then unzip all the panels and fold. This leaves only the canopy and skirt remaining. We take down the canopy and fold it several times from front to back, ensuring that it is narrow enough to fit the bag. Then we roll it up tightly and slide into the bag. Take off the skirt, roll up and slip into bag. If necessary sit on bag to expire any air then place all the panels into the bag followed by the curtains. Pull tie cord and there you have it!!!

As we prefer steel poles we find it easier to use two separate pole bags due to spreading the weight.

Hope this helps.
