I am looking for a nice site North of Paris, a short distance from a railway station, as I believe the ones to the east near disney are usually extremely busy in the high season

Agree with Alan, there a few years ago. Good bus service runs from 8.30am until 1am. Cheaper to buy family tickets so work out how many journeys you will do and then buy them in lots of 4 at a family rate.

There is a caravan site at Maison la'Fitte and it is only a few minutes to the local rail station. the trains run frequently and are on time. in about 15mins you are in the main station about 2-3 mins from the Arc de triomphe. the site was open when we went at Easter a few years ago. it has all facilities etc. if you are interested I will try and get you more details.
