Park Coppice C.C. Lake district

Any comments on Park Coppice site in the lakes, booked for next week, just wondered?, also best directions? I am coming of M6 at jct 36, do I take the top route A591 Ambleside, or the bottom route A590 Newby Bridge ?

any help gratefully reiceved

Its a nice site, up to the usual Caravan Club standard, although it is some years since we have been. We went the Newby Bridge route with no problems. Does it not give a preferred route in the Caravan Club handbook?

Hi Paul, Keep away from the Ambleside route ..very tight, steep and twisting. Newby Bridge a lot easier access. Went there 3years ago. well screened pitches. mostly under high trees...noisy when it rains otherwise OK. Good walks in area . Coniston accessible along the lake, plenty of good eating and drinking.

And if you are a bitter drinker you must sample a pint of Bluebird bitter.
