Is the a general law about parking a caravan in the front of the house. Our drive is very narrow we can fit the caravan down but with a lot of difficulty, but we have a large front garden, but don't want to break any laws or cause any ill feeling.

Hi Joyce we must stop meeting like this there are no specific laws regarding parking your van on the drive as I do as you are allowed to keep it within your courtlidge(check spelling) so long as there is not a specific covenant prohibiting tis (check your deed or solicitor)

hi joyce

if there are any laws i would think it would be a by-law so i would ask the local council, but as long as your neigbours dont complain,i cant see any reason why you should not be able to park it on your garden

As an ex Parish Councillor it is unlikely that there will be a bye law a covenant is more likely

If the caravan is parked on the street it must have a light outside the same as should be on skips so other drivers are aware of it.
