Particulate filter?

Afternoon All,

I have a 2016 Ducato base vehicle with 1700 miles on the clock.

I understand I need to give it a blast along a motorway/dual carriage way in 4th for about 10 miles to clear the particulate filter. How many revs should I use and after how many miles do I need to repeat this?

Thanks

One article I have read suggests a constant 3,000rpm for about 10 miles and should be repeated every couple thousand miles?

Regards

You shouldn't need to do it. The engine should work it out for itself and do it if needed. Never do mine although I live a mile from the motorway which is the start of almost all my motorhome trips so I do very little urban driving. If it does need doing it is a sign that you are not using the motorhome in its preferred environment
