PDQ Awnings Mark 2

I have a friend who has one of these awnings the earlier model, the only fault is the door zip which she says is such a pain being half way up. However she does rate it and I am thinking of getting one. I got in touch with a supplier, who states that the Mark 2 is proving very successful and he hasn't had one returned.

Does anyone have any feedback on the new model, before I part with my hard earned cash.

Recently parted with 120.00 for a brand new outdoor revolution porch which we nor our friends could make head nor tail of the instructions,such as they were, so we gave up. Very new to this caravanning lark so learning the hard and expensive way.

We only caravan Friday/Saturday nights, April/Sept,we compete in agility so we want something really quick to put up.

We bought a MkI PDQ in Jan and didn't have much luck with it, the upside down zips were a pain in the neck, the bag leaked and the canopy leaked. However one of the zips failed and Pyramid replaced the canopy promptly F.O.C. with a MK2 version which is byfar superior and I'd recommed that model to anyone.

The instructions arn't all that clear and putting them up for the first time can be a game, but with practice they are very easy to erect, but take about 20 mins and certainly not the 2 mins as advertised

20 MINUTES TO PUT UP A PDQ-CENTAINLY NOT,20 MINUTES TO ERECT FIRST TIME ON THE VAN,THEN ABOUT 3 MINUTES TO ERECT SECOND TIME AROUND .TAKE YOUR TIME,THEY ARE GREAT AWNINGS AND IN WIND THEY DONT RATTLE LIKE A CONVENTION AWNING
