Afternoon All,

I know this has popped up a few times, i have seached the forum and couldn't find it so i decided to re-post the topic.

I have a 2008 Corsican Porch awning which has the option to peg either on the outside or on the inside, i have pegged it on the outside therefore the skirt is on the inside.

Just wanted to get peoples views on this and the favoured option.

Thanks

Rob.

Peg it inside,so when is is done you can put the ground sheet down and not then get a draft underneath, also if you peg it outside and when it rain and the water lays on the piece you have pegged down, ducks will visit you and while they drink will make a din and believe they do at 4 in the morning, there are other reasons some will agree others wont, hope it helps,

Hi rob,

In my mind it is more logical to cast water as far away from the the floor area as possible, so any skirt should face outwards. so with the awnings I use I peg on the inside but have smaller pegs to keep the skirt pegged out.

My Isabella pegs outside so the skirt tucks in. The Dorema porch has the skirt outside, pegs on the inside.

Personally I find the Izzy method better. No water collects on the skirt. The skirt tucks very cleanly under the ground sheet, is windproof and creatures of the night proof!

Cheers

Personally I peg on the outside tuck the skirt inside and lay the groundsheet on top. Also the caravan skirt gets tucked in under the groundsheet.

Morning All,

Many thanks for the above feedback, think i will stick with what i have done in the past and peg outside with the skirt on the inside.

Thanks

Rob.

We have a Dorema porch awning (purchahsed brand a couple of years ago) and we have the option of pegging inside or out! We opt for pegging on the outside, as suggested above, as the ground sheet covers the inside skirt. We have never experiences any problems with water getting in, even in the worst torrential downpours.

My new isabella pegs on the outside and the mud flap is on the inside and I find this much better than my old one which was the reverse. In windy Scotland these last 6 weeks I was able to easily weight down the mud flaps with boxes / boots / water bottles etc.
