Hi All,

will be visiting Pembrey CC site either weekend after next or the weekend after Bank holiday weekend.

Dont live far from there but haven't been there for a while, is the CC site still as nice as it was before ?

Have noticed they now have WIFI are they charging the usual rediculous amount that the CC charge for it ??

Are any forum users visiting on either of these weekends ??

Many Thanks

Ian

We spent a week in Pembrey last May. Yes, it is very clean and well presented. The wi-fi thing is always expensive, maybe because it is still in its infancy. We are returning to Pembrey for a week in August. The entrance to the country park is very expensive if you pay perday..but I think you can buy a weeks pass at the campsite office which works out more economically

Thanks that would be great, is it a safe site for kids with lots of people visiting the area? look forward to your reply on your return
We were there a couple of weeks ago and thought it was lovely. It was fine for the children with a nice play area, but we were worried about the number of children who followed cars through the open barriers which on a couple of occasions only just missed them as it came down. It's quite a big and busy site but we felt it was reasonably safe for the children providing they understand the dangers. All facilities etc. to usual standard.

There is direct access to the country park from a gate in the park and a 15/20 minute walk to the beach through the park. The wardens gave us a copy of the cycle route from the site which was well worth doing with the children - virtually all traffic free. Children loved the toboggan run in the park too!

Have a good trip

Just come back from a week ther. Fantastic!! The beach is fantastic and the country park has lovely walks. My lad loved the toboggan run at the ski centre. I can personally recommend the cheesy chips in the restaurant. Site also excellent. Also big thanks again to Peter and his wife (fellow caravanners) who helped us put up our awning. We will go again.

The campsite is superb, the beach is very clean, loads to do in country park.

Ask at site reception for vouchers for ski slope and tobbogan.

5 tobbogan rides for price of 2

2 people for price of 1 on skislope begginers lesson.

Take a look at this site ---www.carmarthenshire.gov.uk---

and type pembrey in search box

Any questions ask away

Hi Ian,

We too are there next weekend.

We have visited the site twice within the last year and enjoyed it on both occasions. It is such a well kept and pretty little place.

We take the car into the country park to park next to the beach. (lazy or what!).

My only criticism is of the very poor T.V.reception there (no fault of the park of course) Even with a good quality arial and mast it was mediocre.

Look out for our Picasso/Ranger 470!
