Perran Sands

Has anyone stayed here, is it any good? looking at it on google earth the piches especially the hardstanding ones seem very far away from everything is this accurate can someone who has stayed there say how far the pitches are away from the centre and the beach, thanks

We haven't stayed there but saw it last year when visiting friends at Tollgate Farm Caravan Park next door. The touring site is quite a way from the facilities but that might be a good thing!

Claire's brother and family stayed at Perran Sands in a chalet in September and said that it's typical Haven - bit tacky, loud and in your face but plenty to do. Up to you but wouldn't be for us.

Tollgate Farm is right next door to Perran Sands and is quite a nice grassy site but no club, bar, swimming pool etc. The toilet block we saw was very nice and clean and there's a small petting farm and play area for kids. Much cheaper than Perran Sands in high season but obviously depends what you want.

Perranporth itself is lovely, the beach is great and the surrounding area has lots to do. A much nicer base than Newquay which is within easy reach if you want to visit.

its a fair way to amenities,beach is about 15 mins away,down a quite steep cliff walk,not a bad site for a haven.if you dont need all the facilities try tollgate farm next to it,we've stayed there last 3 years,super site,nice friendly people

We stayed in a static van there about 3 years ago. Its a huge site and I think shows it.

Cant really comment on the touring pitchs but they are a fair way from the main shop / pool / entertainment area.

One thing of note. We actually tried to book a touring pitch for this year (I think in July) and they wanted close to

The touring pitches are closer to the main park than they look, if you take the short cut through the sand dune area between them.

The beach..well that's a very steepo climb.
