Perranporth

Have a look at the Monkey Tree Holiday Park Website situated just outside Goonhaven about three miles out of Perranporth Never been in there but always looks attractive from outside(we stay in CC site at Rejerrah just down the road.). Also Perran Sands which is situated in the dunes above Perranporth Beach. Another option might be Newperran Caravan Site cloes by but not sure if it has a pool.

Just had a look and Newperran does have a pool. Had a nosey around a couple of times and it always looks pleasant. Persaonally would prefer here or Monkey Tree but Perran Sands is closer being at the top of a hill about a mile out of PP with access from the site direct to the beach. Against this there are a lot of statics on site but on the plus side if you have room for your golf clubs there is a links course next door.

If you manage to get in any site and are travelling down at peak times avoid Bodmin Moor and approach throgh Camelford and wadebridge. Got caught in a five mile tailback going down on Sat. 8th August and a ten miler coming back last Friday. The dual carriageway merges into a single track for about five miles across the moor and the flo can't cope at busy times.

I should add have stayed at Monkey tree as well and although fine prefer Trevornick.

Also if you are travelling to either of these sites ignore satnav instructions to come off at Newquay - Stay on A30 and come off at Perranporth turning, a lot easier and quicker - particularly at busy times.
