pich prices

was looking to go away for the weekend over bank holiday,have sent out the usaul have you any space on the chance there just might be a pitch in the north of england/wales.to my suprise there was a lot of replies saying yes we have room at the inn,

bad news though is some of the prices are horrendous,I know Haven go 300% increase for bank holidays but hey they are the Harrods up against patels corner shop in the holiday world,small sites asking over £30 a night,horses for courses I understand but stop getting above yourselves out there ,you may have filled all your pitches at £20 a night & could have netted more profit on other items like on site beer sales etc,just feels like greed to me.

got it off me chest now,

I am off to wirral cc site next week anyway,least I know the standard of what I am getting for my money .

My aunt is pitched two miles down the road from here at the back of The Bell Inn. First class new modern toilet/ shower block . Spacious grass pitch EHU. Lovely country pub with excellent food.

sounds great,getting somewere so cheap with a decent washroom,I am thinking about trading my caravan in as the wife spends more time seeing what the washrooms look like than the actual site when we search for a pitch,so think I might look for another van with decent end washroom,so I can use more CL's etc,looks like it will be worth it in the long run.dont mind not going now anyway as so far the rain has been chucking it down all day here in Liverpool.
