Piezo Ignitor on Truma S3002 EL

in regards to the piezo ignitor does this run off the 12v battery and if the battery is low or flat would this cause the piezo ignition to fail?

A piezo ignitor is a manually operated ignitor, and does not requires any additional power to make it work.

However Truma also make heaters with battery operated electronic re ignitors, which are turned on when the gas valve is turned on. The unit will tick until it either detects a flame or the gas valve is turned off.

The unit uses batteries that are contained in the ignition unit.

Some of the more modern models of Truma may use the 12V battery supply in the caravan.

Check you owners manual to see which model you have.
