GOOD LUCK Diesel.

I hope you owner behaves herself and doesn't let you down ;-)

Let her have a Bonio or a nice chew if she has you looking you very best!

Good luck Diesel. Make sure that Lisa knows when to stay and when to heel. If she does well, don't forget to give her a little treat, but whatever you do, don't let her **** a leg at the judges.

Oh, and Dro, the answer is No. The dog and it's breed are not prone to cracking. Furthermore there are people that I would trust less than dogs.
Funny you should say that, Brian. I have just been in the market for a cheap runaround (rather be out of pocket to myself than Her Majesties tax collectors) and the salesman was quite agreeable. He is a one man band but judging by the look of his house is doing very, very well. If you ever fancy getting into the secondhand market there seems to be potential to earn well.

That said, if the car fails me I'm sending The Missus round to sort him out......

Nice Dog, Good Luck.

ps She might get rich and give you some money, what colour etc. One thing about having money " it keeps you in touch with your children "

It must be pointed out that there are no bad dogs only their owners. Any dog, if approached in the wrong manner will go on the defensive. Don't let your children go towards strange dogs of any breed and, by that, I mean from the tiniest yorkshire terrier to the largest of hounds.

I have had many different types of dogs (GSD, BSD, Spaniels, Cairn Terriers, etc.) who have all been well trained and good natured. The only dog I cannot really get on with is the Corgi. As a teenager a very good friend had one and although it new me extremely well it decided to have a go one day for no reason at all.

Don't get upset Lisa with the above posting. Some people just don't like dogs and nothing will convince them differently.

Hi Everyone

Well - we're back. We didn't get placed but neither did the top puppy of 2006 and the second top puppy of 2006 (in our class). The judge preferred reds and in the final line up they were mainly reds.

But what a brilliant experience, I thought we'd die a death in the ring but little Gaylord was a total star, did everything he was asked (in fact he performed better than he's ever done). I was so proud of him.

It was the first time Phil (husband) has ever been to a show with us and he's got a bit of the bug now too. He was head dog sitter on our row and being the sociable person he is, he ended up talking to almost all the SBT owners on our row.

The campsite was really nice, can recommend it. There were a lot of dog people on there and I think we must have been the only people with one dog in the caravan! I got talking to a woman who works for 'Our Dogs' magazine, long story but she has six fluffy tiny dogs. One was terribly savaged by a pointer last year and almost died. Anyway, I had Diesel with me and she fell in love with him and couldn't believe how soft he is. She asked if I would take a walk round the campsite with her and her little dog which had been terribly injured. (The dog is terrified of other dogs and has never walked alongside a SBT or anything which weighs more than 8 pounds). Of course my boy was happy to oblige, to begin with, her dog was very nervous of him but after a while, it relaxed. She couldn't thank us enough and said she might do an article about it for the mag. (The SBT gets good press for once).

Way to go Diesel.

Lisa xx

Well done, Lisa. Pleased to hear all went well and you managed to behave well for Diesel! Glad you had such a wonderful time. Will the next 'local(s)' show be a bit of a disappointment after Crufts?

Regards

Ann
