The following is the 2007 winning entry from an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

Last year's term was ' Political Correctness '.

The winner wrote:

'Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.'

Just because it won an award doesn't make it right !! The ideal of political correctness is right, i.e. that everybody is a person and should be treated as equal; however the interpretation of political correctness causes much alarm.

Political Correctness is just a Political tool used to prevent the rightfull questioning by a majority of minorities and politicians who try and change the status quo no matter what the cost to the majority is!

Equality and equal rights are poor bed mates, letting minority views and ways have equality with majority views and ways is the route to Anarchy.

I think you have posted the wrong words. What you mean is "the implementation of political correctness causes much harm".

Someone else posted a better definition of "political correctness", that was "socal terrorism".
