Hi,

Its my first time this weekend on a hardstanding and am wondering how I secure my porch awning - can I do it ? / do I need different pegs etc.. / where can I get them from ?

Thanks for any help

Ideally you need so called rock pegs in hardstandings.

These look like long thin round nails with a "tee" piece welded across the top. They are best put in with a builders "Lump hammer".

They are available at all good accessory outlets and often from the site warden on sites with hard standings.

Hardstandings are excellent for awnings at this time of the year.

If you have a portable battery drill get some srewpegs lot easier than hammer

Simon,

If you can get rock pegs with a thread at the end. These bite better into the ground. I always use a large claw hammer, one end of the head to knock them in, the other to pull them out.
