Hi Simon

Cant actually give you any feed back on the porchlite. A while back we were going to get a porchlite, but when we went to view one there was a Compactalite 250 next to it, which is roughly the same size, but it seems bigger because its more upright, (rather than sloping sides).

We,ve used it twice so far and are very happy with it, easy to put up/take down.

The best price I could find was at Camping and General.

Had a porchlite one of the first ones it was excellent withstood gales and allsorts of weather went up in minutes its still good apart from the metal sleeves on the poles corroding. Bought a compactalite 250 left it up 4 days, it rained, the roof filled with water. Phone the dealer i got it from they said its only supposed to be used for weekends and you shouldn't leave them, no we don't want anything to do with it phoned porchlite they said they had only had a problem with one before and it was due to the customer not getting the roof tight enough. After trying for hours still couldn't get the roof tight. looked at another on the same site it was exactly the same. concluded that the roof was too big. tried poles on inside roof tight, put poles in the proper pockets on outside roof too big. (design fault or manufacturing fault)The pockets give 2 to 4 inches that has to be tensioned out. Porchlite say they've had no other problems and if i'm concernd should send the cover back. (to be continued)
