porch awnings

There is quite a hike between the prices of these awnings. Isabella is very well known, but Dorema are now licking at their heels.

On speaking to different people I am given to understand that a small group of people employed at Isabella left and began their own company - hence Dorema. This is perhaps why the two awnings look so alike. (I am sure I will be corrected if this information is wrong!)

You will need to ask yourself if you are prepared to pay the difference for what is a similar product.

Hi Maggie,

We have a 2006 Magnum and it is superb, if you want an awning to last for years then any Isabella will, the Magnum sized awning is a good choice and has a good chance of fitting your next caravan too. Also you can get a table and 4 to 5 people sat around it. Try Ebay, mine cost me

I don't think they left. They were probably told to leave. We are very disappointed in our awning from the latter and will not be buying another one. The current one is our second awning from these plonkers and both have had to go back to the factory for major repairs, i.e. stitching comomg apart after one year. Our blue awning is now green in colour. Wouldn't be so bad if it faded to light blue, but green a colour we did not want???

Their after sales is totally dismal as they don't bother to answer emails although granted under the Sales of Aods Act exonerates them from any responsibility. I cannot recommend them however Isabella seems a good buy. Can I suggest you have a look at the Ventura awning which will probably be our next buy?

hi i have the ventura marlin ( made by isabella ) its like a big porch awning and i cant fault it. we bought it off my in laws 2 years ago and they had it a few years. i hasnt faded and everything is still perfect with it. there is four of us and the dog its been okay but we do really need a full awning.

we are in the process of buying a bradcot classic awning to go on our new van as we wanted a full awning this time. the bradcot has a heat reflective roof, great for those hot days and the dog wont get to hot in there. also you get a years accidental cover, 3 year warrenty and i think you get a 10 year anti fade guarantee. they do porch awnings but i dont know what they are called but well worth a look.
