Does anyone have any recommendations for a small portable DAB radio?

Looking at the Sony XDRS40 at the moment, buts its not cheap for what it is!

Sainsburys are doing an upright Blaupunkt branded radio at present at £15 reduced from £25. Look carefully however as there are two models at the same price and one of them does not do DAB+ which is effectively now mandatory to future-proof whatever you buy.

I found a Sandstrom (Currys own brand) at the tip the other week in perfect condition - guess the power supply failed - and it works perfectly AND it does DAB+

Oh no it won't. It has been difficult enough to get people to use DAB to start with - making a mandatory change to DAB+ without of notice (like several years) and consequently making perhaps 80% of existing DAB radios useless would be political and commercial suicide.

I think you will find there will be less and less on Dab this platform is too expensive this one reason why DAB + has come about To put into simple terms one frequency on +can house more than one station..Radio Caroline is a classic example Ofcom offered them DAB + and can be hear id several parts of the country Watch this space
