Just found out that todays sailing from Bilbao to Portsmouth has been Cancelled and Tomorrows Sailing from Portsmouth to Bilbao has also been Cancelled. I know its popular with caravaners at this time of year. And with it being Friday 13th.
I live on the south cost and its proberbly best to be cancled. I was fighting with my lorry driving down the m5 tonight, one of the worst winds ive driven in in 5 years of hgv.
Apparantly the Pride is staying put in Bilbao untill the next planned arrival on Monday, So theres going to be some cheesed off customers in both Bilbao and Portsmouth.
I remember being on a Sealink British Railways ferry ....

Very little stopped the ferries to the Channel Islands sailing from Portsmouth in those days.
The captain was zig zaging to hit huge waves head on... 99% of the passengers were sea sick and all the vehicles were chained to the decks, to avoid otherwise inevitable damage.
These days I think there is more 'Duty of Care' towards the paying customers!
Things dont get any better for the Billy, She arrived in Portsmouth last night nearly on time but 3 days late, She sailed on time for Bilbao but got as far as Weymouth and turned BACK to Portsmouth.
