Portsmouth Car Ferry IOW

Hi Guys

I was wondering if some of you more experienced caravanners could give me any advice about accessing the Wightlink terminal in Portsmouth?

I've done it several times without a tourer, but never WITH one - I seem to remember Portsmouth being rather congested!

Any tips or advice would be most welcome.

No problem really - just take your time to follow the symbol signs. Try not to get there to early - as you know it is quite small compared to the cross-channel and we have previously been asked to leave (with the caravan on the back) and come back nearer to the departure time.
 
You could always pull up and say that you need to use the facilities and then stay in the terminal building for a coffee! Alternatively, if you are very early - it might be worthwhile pulling into the cross-channel ferry area, which you will pass before you go through the town - stop for a drink and snack and then allow 15 mins approx to get over to IOW terminal.
