We've been looking for some new saucepans for the van - with some sort of folding handle to make storage easier.

First thought was the Tefal 'Ingenio' range, but Mrs Sosij wasn't overly impressed with the quality/price ratio

We then stumbled upon the Grunwerg 'Versa' range - same principle as the 'Ingenio', but much lower cost.

Got to love the name! 'Grunwerg of Sheffield', implying Teutonic quality forged in the heart of Britain's steel country :cheer: Well, not quite - forged in Korea ('South', one hopes!) by Korean aluminium smelters.

Still, can't argue with the price - and Mrs Sosij believes that they will struggle to feel cheaper or nastier than the Tefal pans...

For those looking for space saving pans, they are available for only £23.00 delivered here: http://www.speedwellstar.co.uk/3-pc-versa-sauce-pan-set-non-stick-stacking-all-hob-types-blue-space-saving.html

We've ordered a set, so we'll soon see what the quality is like.

We were wondering about pans as after fourty years of use at home and then in the caravan ours are a bit on the tatty side. We had looked at the basic ones in Sainsburys as they looked light and reasonably durable but ones with removable handles might be better. Let us know what you think when they arrive.

They arrived today - 24 hour delivery via UKMail (we missed the deadline for yesterday)

Experts opinion? - 'genuine bargains' :cheer:

My expertise doesn't really run to saucepans, but I can tell when something feels well made, and in this case the Korean pan makers have come up trumps.

They are slightly thicker than the Tefal 'Ingenio' pans - and are heavier by 200 grammes for a set of three (1840 v 1640)

I think, personally, that the paint finish is better than the Tefals.

The handle grips securely - *possibly* the Tefal handle mechanism might prove to more durable, but it's not something that's likely to be relevant to the comparatively limited use they'll get in a caravan.

All in all, I think that I can safely say that you will not find better nesting pans anywhere for £22.99.

"Vive le Korean pans", as they don't say at the Tefal factory.....
