power management pms5 charger

could anyone help, my bessecarr charger keeps tripping the mcb every time I put the charger switch on.I `ve checked all the fuses I think I would be grateful for any help

Hello Ian, If and MCB is tripping then it indicates that a fault is still present. Generally MCB's react faster than fuses, so I am not surprised that the fuses appear to be OK.

If you are certain the charger is the only item that causes the MCB to trip then I this needs to be investigated. Many chargers are manufactured with their cases riveted closed and thus are not suitable for home repairs. Most modern charges employ switch mode power supplies, which are inherently more complicated than the older style simple transformer and rectifier circuits. I recommend you seek professional help through your caravan dealer.
