Our Mover always does what it supposed to do but on last outing when after driving 5 hours in heavy rain/gales it would not respond ie as if the battery was flat. Few day's later had to move the outfit again and it was perfect.Question , can water get into the unit?, did my battery run flat with headlights ,wipers a/c, fog lights, roadlights all on ?.

Robert, yes in the kind of weather we have been having, and which we have had constantly for the last 48 hours, when towing water can get behind the rubber boots on the motors and affect the working of the mover.

What I am doing now when I service a mover is run some silicone sealer around the ends of the boots and where the electric cables enter the boot as we seem to be having much more severe rain than usual.

As the mover runs from the van battery it would not be the car electrics that would have any effect on the mover, so no, your use of headlights, wipers, heaters etc will not have run the van battery down.
