hi, av just bought a new pressure washer for the wifey seeing as the nights are starting to stretch and thought it would be a good addition to her toolbox. i noticed that the block paving out the back is startin to gather some moss and has lost some colour due to the big freeze, i look out to this area from my upstairs lounge where i have well deserved chill out time and thought i would suggest to her that this could be her next task. however, i am now wondering if i should get her to clean off the caravan with it first, seeing as it has also been through the same inclement weather. what would you do ?, the paving first, or the caravan.

cheers.

Whatever you do don't use the pressure washer on the caravan Highlander.

A powerful jet of water could dislodge old mastic and penetrate the joints on your caravan causing water ingress and damp.

A gentle hose down will remove grit particles and dirt before you use a caravan shampoo to clean the surface with a wash mitt or sponge.

A gentle rinse will then remove suds after which you can either use a wash leather to dry the surface or add Bobby Dazzler to clean water, apply to the surface to give a bit of shine.

This Foam gun fits onto the hose, you can soap the van up quick with this, and then rinse it off.

This type will fit onto your power washer

you can do your bike & car aswell )

beleive she can take things so easy its a known fact that elbow grease is the best a power washer is a cop out bythe new age youth ,you must talk to her and make her understand thatthis is not a good thing and that 12 hrs hard work is nothing a meer walk in the park.Afull clean with a tooth brush fro top to bottom and inside would not be unreasonable even if it only takes 36 hrs some poeple dont no theye are born.

We generally use a power wash on our caravan as it is the easiest way to remove the dirt. We are careful not to use it around the joints or seals.

Used a Karcher hot power washer for years, watch out for the seals and joints. My Caravans have been fine.
