Gary,

I'm guessing that the model you're referring to is the twin axle unit which drives two wheels rather than the all wheel drive version?

I'm in the process of buying a new mover from powrtouch for a twin axle and have been quoted less than that by powrtouch. If you haven't already done so phone powrtouch direct and ask about the "show special" prices they are currently offering.

Gary,

Don't know if you are aware or not but Powrtouch are bringing out a new model later this year called the Innovation. They don't

have a definite date set for it coming on the market nor do they have prices for it yet. They will send on request a dvd showing some coverage of this model in action, looks really good.

When I contacted them recently asking for prices to purchase a mover for a twin axle they made this offer:

Order the new Innovation now at the price of the current equivalent model. When the Innovation comes on the market if it is at a lower price they will give a rebate, more expensive and you will not need to pay any more. The Innovation comes with a poweractuator as standard. As there are Caravan Shows on or imminent they are offering "Show Special Prices"

Price quoted for Powrtouch Twin was

Gary,

Forgot to add that if the Innovation timescale doesn't suit you Powrtouch will fit current model to your caravan now then upgrade to Innovation when it comes into production.

Hi robert

I have just watched the innovation dvd you mentioned,

at the moment,i can,t get the price you mentioned of 1100

(their quoting 1405.00).

Would it be possible to have your surname and order/

ref number to hopefully apply some leverage?

many thanks

Gary,

As yet I have still to place my order. I think I mentioned earlier that I am planning to speak with Powrtouch techies to decide whether I need the two wheel or all wheel unit. I'm hoping to do that tomorrow at Glasgow Caravan Show. I do have emails from Powrtouch confirming their quoted price. I would be happy to pass these onto you if we can work someway of exchanging email addresses without openly printing them here.

Perhaps if one of the Mods reads this he would kindly pass my email address to you.

I'll let you know how I get on with their technical people at the show tomorrow.

Gary,

I've posted on "Our Website" asking the mods to pass on my email address to you. If you don't receive it over the next day or so get back to me via this thread and we'll work out a plan B :)

We have a Powrtouch on our t/a Wyoming.

I used it last week for the first time and found it very sluggish and slow compared to those fitted on single axles.

The mover thing has beeen done to death on other threads but may I suggest you ask to see a t/a being moved by a Pwrtouch or other. I suspect my leisure battery may be losing its grip so my dealer will check that first.Anyway there is a five year guarantee so I am not too bothered at the moment.

I know some people go for 4 wheel drive on t/as but that impedes the spare wheel as well as adding weight.

I'll let you know after Easter what happens.

Cheers

Alan

I have a Powrtouch 3 with actuator fitted under the remove old(Carver) unit and fit new offer

I then changed the van and swapped the mover over myself on bringing the new van home

I then had a slight problem with binding and emailed Powrtouch fot words of wisdom

They rang me back before 9 am and were able to tell me to move the motors inboard a little as they were just touching the inside of the tyres after the van had been standing

Excellent service
