Wondering why when I now use the motor mover I have to use the reset button on the main box?
using it today to move the caravan on the drive ready for service tomorrow, switch on with main key,
tune in remote, then push forward button and the motor starts and immediately cuts out.
Jump in caravan, reset and all is fine.
I dont use it much but did use it 3 weeks ago when we bought it back home and the same happened then.
Any ideas folks?

Look at the LEDs around the buttons on the remote. If when you press one button ALL the LEDs light, your remote battery is dying. If only one LED lights then it is something else.

Not sure what you mean by 'tune in remote.' The remote should work perfectly from switch on with no other actions. Neither should you need to press the reset button (wherever that is) as powering up the control box (as your master switch does) will invoke a system reset without loosing any config.

Kev......I would see if fully charging the caravan battery solves the problem and also check for faulty connection in the mover motor wiring.

Hi Woodentop, think there may have been various types of remotes over the year's. Even the one Hutch describes is different to mine. Mine is 10 + years old so prob most of you have newer versions.
"tune in remote" was prob the wrong wording, it has to be configured to the main control box

I have to press both the green buttons together and the four green lights light up one by one, see picture.

They then go out and the end one stays on, it's now ready to use see picture below.

One thing I did learn tonight when I went to park it back up after the service was it did exactly the same thing, started then stopped.
So instead of using the reset button on the control box, I tried switching it off and back on by he key and that reset it, so thanks for tip on that one.
I then push the left green button with the red circle to switch it off.

Kev, my unit is the same hand unit, I hhave just checked in my paperwork and it states, that to switch on , press the two buttons, D and F , (the ones with the green symbols) quickly and release, do NOT hold them down otherwise the MM will switch off.
Sucking eggs I would think.
I did have a similar thing once and it was the connections to the Fuse.
Good luck.
