Has anyone else been puzzled to find the date when the bank account is debited keeps advancing? The accounts department seems satisfied to be out of step with every other magazine.

Sorry - should read the first payment went out on the 24th May.Thanks very much for bringing this to my attention. Didn't take much notice but have now checked my account.
We are only on subscription because we get it at a cheaper rate, supposedly paying on a 3-monthly basis. The first payment went out on the 1st (24th May) and the next one came out on the 1st August (longer than 3months!). Subsequently subscriptions came out 7 days earlier and 11 days earlier than it should have.
About time to cancel and buy it from the shelves. At the end of the year we won't be saving as advertised originally. Waiting to see what happens next month but there is every possibility that we will cancel if things don't change.
Hope PC and Alex Newby is looking at this.
In our case we started when it was annual subscription many years ago and it kept advancing a month at a time. Somehow that strikes me as a bad deal. Thanks very much for bringing this to my attention. Didn't take much notice but have now checked my account.

That's a good point. It looks as if Practical Caravan is in breach of those conditions.Doesent the direct debit terms and conditions have something to say about notification?
