Practical Caravan Subscription Renewal

My subscription is due on PC. They sent me a letter offering:

Renewal for 26 issues (2 years) for £68.00 or

Renewal for 13 issues (2 year) for £33.00

Now is it me or does that make any sense? I know that if I renew annually the price will go up next year but they will have my money for 2 years so surely it should be proportionately cheaper to renew for two years....any thoughs?
 
Sounds a bit of a try-on to me.

Worth having a look in the mag and seeing what rates they offer to new subscribers? Often a good deal, could be worth starting afresh?

My wife and I alternate subscriptions on one mag we take, which always offers good deals to new subscribers.

Alternatively, let it lapse, get a couple of issues in the newsagent, then you become a new subscriber again.
 
We do some thing similar with car break down cover. Go with one company for 12 months, then change companys, that way we are allways getting new membership offers.

Renewal for 0 weeks - nil cost, for me. Sorry, the mag has been so appalling the last few months (repetitive, condescending and diabolical with the listing fiasco)I cancelled in protest...
