Last year we bought a Cadac barbecue and have been very pleased with it, although when we used it over the Mayday BH week end I noticed the teflon was bubbling on the grill plate. I e mailed the supplier who said that as we had had it for over 12 months there was nothing thay could do, but suggested I contact Cadac direct. I e mailed Cadac and had a reply within 2 hours saying they would send a replacement plate. 2 days later the plate arrived. I find it very refreshing to find a company that is prepared to make the effort with customer service,I am certainly impressed and would recommend Cadac.

Keith,

Just as an observation, your supplier may have been in breech of the Sale of Goods act. It requires the seller to supply goods fit for purpose and free from manufacturing or design faults. If your Teflon problems was due to faulty manufacture the seller is responsible. There is no 12 month time limit on such claims, but reasonable allowances must be made for the age of the product in the context of its life expectancy.

Hi Keith, I can only echo your comments. I had a problem with the large Skottel. Whilst transferring a piping hot Skottel of food from the Cadac to the table, one of the carrying handles broke and I ended up with hot food all down my leg. I wrote to Cadac who took it very seriously and sent a courier to pick up my Skottel to take it back to analyse what caused the fault. They wrote back to me in a really nice letter, and said it was a one off manufacturing fault, they sent me a new Skottel and refunded me my money for the complete Cadac as an appology. First class customer service.
