Pros & cons of siting abroad

Just back from yet another glorious washout week around the UK. Seriously thinking of permanantly siting my tourer in Spain. Probably near one of the 'de mar' resorts. This would then be a just a short flight from L,pool or Man, to Gerona. Just wandering if anyone out there has had any experiance of doing this or knows someone and is it worth doing? Already paying over £500. pa, for storage in the UK. Your thoughts & advice please!!

Hi there stephen, a friend of ours has just sited thier van in spain near san pere pescador it's about an hour and half away from barcelona they are paying about 400euros a year and thats undercover and includes insurance they will tow the van to and from the campsite for you for an extra 30 euros each way or you can collect it yourself , there were alot of different companys over there that do this ,so when were all there last summer we looked into then hence this year they drove thier van down and left it there, Gerona airport from this site is about 60 kilometers away roughly half hour...ish drive. hope this helps.
