Any one used a pull on pull of site in the Cornwall area?
We are wanting to use the van a bit more next year and the only way we can see it is to have more weekends (due to work commitments). Looe area about an hour from us and Newquay about hour and a half.
Would like a bar on site or pub within walking distance.
We will want to pull the van off two or three times in the year so dont want a full blown seasonal

What you want is something like Wheatalot where they will store it, tug it to the pitch and have the Three Horse Shoes next door :cheer: Aha. Must be dog and child friendly :)

Have a look at http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/
You can select your own criteria from sites with pubs etc.
Are you thinking of giving up your current storage?
Good luck and enjoy the extra hols.

Yes something along the Wheatalot critiria would be great.
Will do the research thing but as usual it would be nice if someone has done it and it came from recommendations.
Current storage is on my drive so no fee's at present. :)

Thingy recommends a place called Lower Polladras a few threads down. I had a look on their website and they will do store and pitch. However it may be too far from you.

This is my little Cornish gemstone which should tick all your boxes too. Family run by the Clemmos. Even has a swimming pool and drinking holes within 5 minutes stroll.

Looks lovely DD. No wonder you were keeping it quiet.

You could always continue to park on your drive and pay me the fee instead. :p

I could also put the awning up on the lawn and stay there for the weekend, thanks WC cheques on it's way

Hi Mel, it's not really a secret any more, went there last year and yes nice site, but the best thing about it was sitting in the awning watching the THUNDER & LIGHTENING, about two hours worth, Lovely :)

Well folks we have decided against the pull on pull off sites and sticking with our normal routine albeit less nights away :(
After considering lots of advice from Mel and Colin on another thread and looking at a few sites we have decided we dont trust anyone else to tug our van, and the storage facility's on the ones we have looked at leave a lot to be desired.

So on that note we may well go with Gaffabills advice and look into the C+CC local meets.

Happy vanning folks :)

Well our twin axle was dropped off by the Caravan Dealer on our seasonal pitch we have done our first year and enjoyed it so much .but it not in the right spot . We need it moved over so i can park the Car on right and Awning on the left .
We ask the mobile caravan repairer he said he will try and moved it for us in March 2015 .
I hope you find something suitable for your needs ..............
