Purchasing a caravan not CRIS registered....

is there any risks in doing this, I have completed a CRIS check and there's no HP owing or not stolen etc but the seller will have no log book to hand over, any personal experiences would be appreciated.
 
If this is a fiarly new van I would be extremely cautious. Some imported vans are not initially registered under the Cris scheme, but this costs only about
