Putting canvas print onto frame

Other half sent a photo from her phone to a company who has returned the photo on canvas.
It now has to be fitted onto a frame which she's asked me to make.
Having never done this before,I'm thinking it may be a specialist job.
She's ordered prints before and arrived already fitted to a frame but trying to save money, she decided to get me to do it.
I can see myself making a complete "hash" of it and ruining the canvas photo.
Has anyone successfully done this before??

I have always had them done by the "experts" either direct from a company online, or have taken a canvas to a local picture framer.

Yes,I think that "penny pinching" doesn't always work.
Luckily, her sister has a frame with an unwanted picture on it which we can have so I have a starter which just leaves me the job of stretching our photo onto the frame.

The last very plain frame that we had made for a large painting set us back £160. The frame is plain black and about an inch wide. We have an oil painting that requires a new frame and dread the cost.
Later I found out that a friend of mine from Africa has a business that does frames for prints and canvas. He is in Grantham and if allowed by moderator I can post a link or pm you with a link. He has done two prints for us.

Thank you Buckman.
I'm now in the process of stripping the old frame and making it slightly smaller at one end.
The new print only measures 18in x 12in so not a huge job.
Your paintings sound slightly bigger than this one.
At least I can do it up in the shed with some peace and quite👌
