My 11 year old is determined we go to Germany this year with the van. I have quite a good knowledge of Bavaria and know of many good sites with the facilities that would occupy a child of this age (Pool etc)

can you point me in the direction of any good sites in interesting area's which are a bit nearer to Calais as we are only able to go for 7 days so I want to minimise the travelling
 
If you want to minimise your driving, how about the area around the Moselle? I've found 3 sites that offer special facilities for families, specifically with children of your son's age:

Thanks for the info, the first one on the list is looking favorite. I have just sent a booking enquiry to see if they can accomodate a 7.9m twin axle
